A fresh weather system is expected to trigger more winter rains across the country from next Friday to Sunday, the Met Office said on Wednesday. It said that the new weather system was expected to unleash rain with snowfall over scores of mountainous places in Balochistan from Friday to Sunday. Similarly rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Sindh from Friday to Saturday.
Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA from next Saturday to Wednesday. Upper Punjab and Islamabad are also expected to receive rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at scattered places from Sunday to Wednesday. Rain is also likely to shower at isolated places in Southern Punjab on Saturday and Sunday.

"Another active westerly wave is likely to enter in the country through Balochistan on Friday," the Met said. In the next 24 hours: Mainly very cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country. Fog is likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during the night and morning hours.
