Khattak welcomes Danish investment in renewable energy

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has welcomed the transfer of technology for the promotion of agriculture, renewable energy, and investment in KP by the Danish investment and said that province of KP offered tremendous potential in natural resources for investment.
The provincial government wanted promotion in the productive sectors and exploitation of natural sources on scientific lines, he added. He assured the government would facilitate investment in these sectors. He was talking to Danish ambassador H.E Ole Thonke who met him at the Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar.
Chairman EZDMC Ghulam Dastgir and administrative secretaries were also present. The Chief Minister said his government had an industrial policy giving attraction to the investors to develop surface water resources for hydel power generation to overcome energy crisis and give the locally produced power to the industrial sector on concessional rates. His government would always welcome the Danish commercial companies to come and invest in different sectors, he added.
The Chief Minister and the Danish Ambassador had discussion on mutual interest. Both agreed to promote mutual relations in trade, culture, commercial and mutual interaction. The Danish ambassador was keen to transfer technologies for the promotion of industrial, power, agriculture and other sectors and investment in KP. He also informed the Chief Minister of the Danish Community interest in the direct investment in KP.
The Chief Minister welcomed Danish companies for investment in the province, adding that KP had a space in productive sector for investment including the Danish investment. He said the province had simplified the procedure for industrialization eliminating the NOC condition and providing one window operation to facilitate the investment. He said the government had already established an autonomous EZDMC company and provided concession and other facilities to facilitate the investors.
