Security forces have arrested 58 suspects, including five Afghan nationals in a combing operation in Peshawar on Sunday. The operation was conducted in Shaheen Town, Warsak Road, Pakka Ghulam, and Balazak areas. Huge cache of arms, ammunition and drugs were also recovered during the operation. Law enforcement agencies also participated in the combing operation.
In August last year, a special nation-wide combing operation was launched on the orders of former army chief General Raheel Sharif following the deadly blast in Quetta Civil Hospital, which killed up to 70 people.
The ex-army chief had ordered intelligence agencies to go anywhere in the country and target those linked with the terror acts.
