17 Jan, 2017

PPP Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira said Monday Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto would announce a protest movement against the government after leading a rally from Lahore to Faisalabad on 19th January. He was addressing a press conference at the PPP secretariat after presiding over a meeting to finalise arrangement in connections with Bilawal's rally.
He said the party workers from Lahore city would attend the rally while the workers from other cities would extend him rousing reception on his way to Faisalabad. He said the PPP rally would reach Faisalabad through GT Road and party workers would welcome him at different locations.
He said the PPP has decided to launch protest on the government's failure to meet four demands of Bilawal Bhutto. "PPP has an experience of organising unprecedented protests and it has led anti-dictators rallies in the past," he added.
He said Pakistan had weakened on the external front and the way the world at large has started assessing us is a cause of concern.
"Both terrorism and extremism was on the rise and there are active, and not sleeping, cells of terrorists within the country," he said and added that the prime minister's announcement of setting up a committee to implement National Action Plan has been remained unmet till date.
