Money transfer: PML-N leaders say no legal binding between parents, children

The leaders of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Wednesday, once again, lashed out at the politics of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, saying the PTI leaders present a different story outside the Supreme Court after hearing in the Panama Leaks case against the Sharif family.
Addressing a joint press conference, Chairman Privatisation Commission Muhammad Zubair Umar and MNA Daniyal Aziz said that PTI alleged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for tax evasion and money laundering, while they are yet to produce such evidence in court.
Muhammad Zubair was of the view that the Prime Minister has never concealed his tax returns and there is no legal binding in money transfer between parents and children. "The former Chief Justice had said that father and son are not responsible for actions of each other," he remarked.
Daniyal Aziz claimed that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected immunity to Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen. "Imran and Jahangir are not ready to be accountable," he added. He said that Khan had himself hidden his assets by not mentioning his Niazi Services' flat on website. "Imran Khan is spreading hatred on the basis of lies," he added.
He said that chairman PTI has the habit of contesting cases on container, pressurising institutions and then apologising unconditionally, adding that Khan would also apologise to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz over hurling 'false and fabricated' allegations against them.
Aziz said that Khan should present the documents, which he had waved in the National Assembly, in the court as evidence in the Panama Papers case, adding his speech was also on record. He said that replies with proofs and evidence are being submitted in the court on the PTI's false applications. "Khan should demonstrate patience as replies to all his petitions and allegations would be submitted with the court. If the court asks for additional documents, they would also be presented," he remarked.
Khan lied about dependence of Maryam Nawaz on the Prime Minister but documents are proving that she was not dependent on the Prime Minister and they have been submitted with the court.
Khan should learn that in the courts one has to provide evidence and proofs. The minister said if someone has any objection to an agreement between two persons, he should present proofs in the court. Khan abolished Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accountability commission and powers of the institutions are being curtailed, he said.
