Thick fog disrupts life, traffic, flights in Punjab

Thick fog enveloped various areas of Punjab on Wednesday morning as the weather turned frosty disrupting the routine life of citizens, traffic flows and airlines traffic at the airport.
The flow of road traffic was disrupted due to fog as motorway was closed from Sheikhupura to Pindi Bhattian to avoid any mishap. National Highway also underwent an interruption in the traffic system. On the other hand, commuters have been advised to use special yellow-coloured fog lights to enhance visibility.
Similarly, the air traffic was also affected badly due to bad weather and a good number of flights were diverted to other parts of the country, as the visibility was zero at the morning hours at the Lahore airport.
A bad weather has also disrupted gas availability at the domestic level and many residents were found complaining about non-availability of gas pressure at their stoves and water geysers. For provincial capital, Lahore, the temperature dropped to 6°C on Tuesday night.
