Uro-Gynea Center established in LGH

In order to provide total medical solution for all complications related to women health including maternity, ovaries and bladder under one roof, a Uro-Gynea Center for outdoor patients has been established at Lahore General Hospital.
Provincial minister for Population Welfare Begam Zakia Shahnwaz inaugurated the center on Thursday during a function which was also attended by Professor Ghiyas-un-Nabi Tayyab, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital, Professor Mumtaz Ahmed President Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons, Professor Muhammad Nazeer, Professor Nuzhat Khawaja, Professor Farhat Naz, MS Dr Ghulam Sabir, faculty members and a large number of young doctors and nurses.
In her address, the minister said that proper pause between births of children is essential for mother and child health. She said that a large number of woman and children in Pakistan are facing food shortage and an effective awareness campaign among women is required in this connection to sensitize them about taking healthy and nutritional food during pregnancy.
