81 arrested in crackdown on profiteers

District administration has arrested 81 persons in crackdown against profiteers in different parts of district. On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Shahid Mahmood, the Assistant Commissioner (AC) Altaf Sheikh inspected different shops on Charsadda Road, Dalazak Road and Ring Road and arrested 25 persons for profiteering, not displaying of price list, selling adulterated tea and under-weight roti.
Similarly, Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Sohail Aziz arrested 26 profiteers from Saifun Chowk, Mathani, Badhbair and Kohat while AAC Bashir Ahmad arrested 12 persons from Saddar area for profiteering, unhygienic conditions and not display of price list.
Furthermore, AAC Abdul Nabi also arrested 18 persons for profiteering and poor cleanliness conditions. The arrested persons were included chicken sellers, bakers and grocers, vegetable, and fruit sellers.
Meanwhile, crackdown against the sellers of adulterated milk remained continue in the district and for this purpose, the Assistant Commissioner, Altaf Ahmad Sheikh collected samples from different milk shops and sent to laboratory for test.
