SAA asks PIA to pay dues

Saudi Aviation Authority has asked the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to pay off its pending dues to avoid suspension of its flight operations. According to sources, the national flag carrier had to pay over Rs 2 billion to the SAA to avoid suspension of its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The sources further stated that PIA was said to pay around Rs 25 billion in terms of loan and interest during first 6 months of current calendar year.
Meanwhile, PIA spokesman denied to have received any letter from SAA however, he confirmed that there were some pending dues. Furthermore, he said that payments were being released as per understanding with the authorities.
