Food outlets fined

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Thursday imposed a collective fine of Rs 21,000 on flouting the rules of hygiene after inspecting 14 food outlets in different parts of the provincial metropolis. Some of these food points were also issued warning notices to get themselves registered with the Authority.
Different field teams of the Authority in line with Authority's vision to ensure provision of quality and hygienic food to the people of the province inspected different food points and directed Usman Paan Shop, Shehanshahi Biryani, Sahib Jee Muragh Channay in Gulberg Town, Qasar-e-Hussain Banquet Hall, Hajveri Super Store, Madina Milk Shop, Ayyaz Traders and New Milk Sweets of Wagha Town to get license from the Authority.
