KBP criticises rise in POL prices

The Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) strongly reacted to the increase in petroleum products prices announced by the federal government and termed it second petrol and diesel bomb attack on growers on the New Year. KBP Central President Chaudhry Nisar Ahmad and Secretary General Arsalan Khan Khakwani in a joint statement issued on Wednesday said that increase in petroleum prices had ruined the economy of 70 percent of the farmers.
They said that government could have increased price of kerosene oil if needed as it could help providing pure diesel and petrol to the masses and the government could get benefit in shape of taxes.
