Workshop on scientific writing held

Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Ameer ud Din Medical College Professor Dr Ghiyas un Nabi Tayyab has said that research fellows in medical field must learn scientific writing to get their research papers published in international journals.
"Doctors doing research in different medical fields must try their best to apprise the world about their work, as their work would bridge the distances between Pakistani experts and the rest of the world," he said, while addressing a workshop on the topic of "Scientific Writing in Medical Journals" here in Lahore General Hospital for Post-graduate students.
The workshop was organised by in-chrage Gynea Department Unit-II Professor Farhat Naz and her team. The event was attended by Head of Community Medicine department, King Edward Medical University Dr Saira Afzal and young doctors of various hospitals in a large number.
Addressing the participants, Dr Tayyab said, "Our medical institutions and organisations get their recognition and good rating by publication of their research papers in international journals. Young doctors find better opportunities towards their career and research work so as to well plan their future."
He stressed upon the writers of the research papers to pay special attention on the language and style of research papers to match the international standard of publication of research work.
