Pakistan's war on terror a success: PU VC

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir has said that Pakistan's war on terror has met with extraordinary success and now situation in Pakistan is as normal as it could be in any other country. He was talking to a media delegation from Nigeria here on Friday. Dean Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences Professor Dr Zakria Zakir, Iyobosa Rex Uwugiaren, General Editor Leadership Newspaper Group, Raliat Oyinyioza Abdulazeez Yusuf, Research and Development/Foreign Desk Editor and Ahmed Olanrewaju Ambali, reporter Nigerian Television Authority were present.
Talking to the Nigerian journalists, the VC said that Pakistan's Army, leadership and civilians have rendered lot of sacrifices to root out the menace of terrorism. He said the situation had improved manifold in Pakistan, however, the country was victim of negative propaganda.
He said a large number of foreign tourists would be coming to Pakistan soon. He stressed the need to enhance students and faculty members exchange programmes between the two countries to promote bilateral relations. Iyobosa Rex said that Pakistan and Nigeria were facing terrorism and they were visiting Pakistan to understand Pakistan's narrative and measures to fight this menace. He said they were very much inspired by the environment and the people of Pakistan.
