Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz said on Friday that those politicians are talking about accountability including Imran Khan who got their loans written off and also purchased helicopter from that amount.
While addressing the PML-N workers convention at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Hamza advised Imran Khan not to create hurdle in the way to progress of the country. "Imran Khan sided with the former dictator to get elected as the Prime Minister," he said.
Referring to Ittefaq Foundry that was set up by his grandfather Mian Sharif, the PML-N leader said; "We never asked for accountability when our assets were nationalised." He said he feels proud that he is grandson of a person who worked hard with firm commitment and established his business.
He said that accountability of PML-N leaders was held for eight years during former president Musharraf's tenure but nothing objectionable was found. "We courageously fought dictatorship of Musharraf and remained firm to principles."
Hamza said Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was handcuffed in an aircraft. His earnings were taken over by Musharraf which he got back through legal claim through the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The PML-N leader said the country was heading towards progress but our opponents are playing foul game. Imran Khan tried to create hurdles in project like CPEC but the Prime Minister promoted unity through his leadership. He said the PML-N leadership believes in selfless service. Metro bus is providing quality transport facilities to people in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi while Orange Train Project will be operational soon.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said those who are blaming and levelling allegations against them did not render any service in KPK. He also advised son of Asif Ali Zardari to focus on situation in Sindh. Those who are using foul language against them must concentrate on KPK and Sindh. "Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has converted Sindh into ruins while Karachi is full of "Kachra."
