Due to severe drought in Sri Lanka, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed for provision of all necessary assistance to the government and the affected people of Sri Lanka and, consequently, an aircraft carrying 25 metric ton rice has left for Colombo. The government and the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the brotherly people of Sri Lanka in this hour of need and will continue to provide all possible support to them, the PM said at a press statement issued here on Wednesday.
