PMD forecasts light rain, snowfall

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday forecast light rain and snowfall over the hills at isolated places as well as cold and dry weather conditions in most parts of the country. An official said that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
However, cloudy weather conditions with light rain and light snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara and Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 48 hours. He said the PMD has predicted a shallow westerly wave which is likely to affect the upper parts of the country. Continental air would prevail over the most parts of the country during rest of the week, he added. The official said that according to the forecast, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Shallow foggy conditions are expected in plains of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours till February 14.
