NLC offers support to set up modern trucking stations

The Director General, National Logistic Cell (NLC, Major General (R) Faisal Mushtaq has offered all out support for setting up modern trucking stations from Karachi to Khunjrab. He was speaking during a meeting with Pak China joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) President Wang Zihai, here on Wednesday.
The meeting was also attended by a seven member Chinese delegation. President Shandong International Economic and Technical Corporation Group Ltd. Meng Yan headed the delegation for developing some effective advancement regarding cargo trade through modern trucking stations.
The NLC chief said that logistic sector of both China and Pakistan need to mutually cooperate and execute research based analysis of the future transportation requirements. The PCJCCI President urged the local businessmen to avail huge opportunities present in the logistics sector on the CPEC route. He pointed out that volume of cargo between Pakistan and China is growing rapidly, hence, both the countries need to communicate, share experiences and explore all options in industrial sector in general and logistics in particular for investment.
The delegation head Meng who met with the Chamber's office bearers to exchange views on modern trucking system in Pakistan, particularly on the CPEC route, said that ultra-modern trucking stations could make flow of cargo more efficient and fast, leading to better economical industrial growth between Pakistan and China.
The PCJCCI vice president Moazzam Ghurki also stressed the need for well-equipped trucking stations to ensure safe and fast delivery of freight. Trucking system has to be revamped according to modern infrastructure needs, he said.
