Canadian canola futures climb

ICE Canadian canola futures climbed to a nearly two-week high on Tuesday on technical buying and strength in soybean prices. March canola gained $3.50 to $520.30 per tonne. May canola added $3.60 to $528 per tonne. March-May canola spread traded 5,821 times. Chicago Board of Trade March soybeans rose on export hopes. The Canadian dollar was trading at $1.3167 to the US dollar, or 75.95 US cents at 12:48 pm CST (1848 GMT), lower than the Bank of Canada's close on Monday of $1.3087, or 76.41 US cents.
