Strict action against corrupt police officials assured

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police East zone, Muhammad Arif Hanif has vowed to take strict action against police officials found linked with land mafia. Addressing a meeting with the members of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) at ABAD house, he assured to retrieve all lands and projects of ABAD members from land mafia and take departmental action against police officials involved in facilitating land mafia.
Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani, Senior Vice Chairman ABAD Muhammad Hassan Bakshi and other ABAD members and police officials were present in the meeting. DIG East highlighted the role of ABAD for the development of the country, saying that the growth of many allied industries was linked with the development of construction sector.
He also announced to constitute a committee comprising police officers and ABAD members. Police would take stern action against land mafia in light of committee's recommendations. He said that land mafias are fabricating land documents and suggested the ABAD to take all concerned department on board by establishing a forum in order to avert the same.
Earlier, chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani said that land mafia was again active in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and occupying lands illegally. He told that extortionists were also attacking the offices of ABAD members in case of refusing to pay extortion, he urged the DIG East to take remedial measures in order to facilitate the builders at maximum.
