Khattak approves allowances for traffic wardens

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak in light of the letter of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani has approved the special allowances for traffic warden police on the pattern of Motorway police with immediate effect. It may be recalled here that the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has announced traffic warden allowance on the pattern of Motorway police during the launching ceremony of the traffic warden police Peshawar in 2015 and had directed the IGP to send a summary in this connection.
Consequently the IGP moved a summary on March 11, 2015. Later, the IGP send another letter on February 11, 2016 in which all details on the allowance in the pattern of Motorway police for 1867 traffic warden personnel were worked out. On February 08, 2017 the IGP wrote a letter to the CM and requested to finalise the long standing matter within a week time so that the incentives be materialised for ensuring optimal service delivery on the part of the traffic warden.
The CM finally approved the special allowances for traffic warden police on the pattern of Motorway police. As per summary the lower subordinates will get fixed allowance of Rs 5000, Upper subordinates Rs 7000 and gazette officers Rs 10000 per month respectively.
It is worth mentioning that the CM has also constituted a special committee last week for the upgradation of lower subordinates ie constables, Head Constables and ASIs with the directives to submit its reports within 15 days.
