Islamabad police along with Pakistan Rangers and other security agencies on Saturday conducted search operation in various areas of Khana and Aabpara police stations and arrested 31 suspects including 9 Afghan nationals. According to the police spokesman, officers/officials of Islamabad Police, Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas including G-7/2, Sohan, Allama Iqbal Colony and few other slum areas.
During the operation, more than 300 houses were screened and the nabbed persons had been shifted to police station for further investigation. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani said that the purpose of this search operation was to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort will be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of citizens. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform the police in case of any suspicious activity around them.-PR
