Interior Ministry urged to establish database for victims of terrorist attacks

National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control on Tuesday recommended the Ministry of Interior to establish a database for the victims of terrorist attacks in the country with the consultation of provincial governments.
The meeting which met with MNA Rana Shamim Ahmed Khan in the chair asked the Ministry of Interior to prepare a database for the victims of terrorism and their families till April 2017. The committee also recommended that names of affected persons, family dependents, martyred people from security forces and the persons who became disabled during various terror attacks must be included in the database.
Rana Shamim asked the Ministry of Interior to prepare a database with the consultation of all provincial governments in order to move its recommendations to the Senate for the welfare of terrorism affectees. The parliamentary penal also unanimously passed a resolution, which was moved by MNA Ghalib Kkan, condemning terrorist attacks in the country, appreciated the sacrifices of armed forces and supported all acts done by armed forces against the terrorists.
Furthermore, the committee agreed to the decisions taken by the political and military leadership pertaining to the country's defence and protection. The committee offered Fateha for the innocent people who were martyred in Sehwan Sharif and other terror incidents across the country. The committee unanimously approved the budgetary proposals related to the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of Interior Ministry for financial year 2017-18.
