SU to purchase 100 buses for students

The Vice-Chancellor of Sindh University Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat held a detailed meeting with officials of Hino Motors Limited Japan led by Division Head of the company Mehmood Ahmed Khan in his office on Tuesday to discuss matters relating to the purchase a fleet of new Hino buses for the students of the Varsity.
The Vice-Chancellor pleaded the Varsity's case for a discount package and most immediate delivery upon placement of purchase order. He impressed upon the visiting delegation that University of Sindh is the oldest university of Pakistan that requires a fleet of 100 brand new buses for its 32000 students.Dr Burfat further informed that he had already written to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to bail the university out of current logistic constraint by providing 100 buses on urgent basis.
The delegation of Hino Motors Limited assured the Vice-Chancellor of extending the best possible assistance and taking up the matter with their competent authority; saying that they were fully cognizant of the prevailing logistic problems of the university. They said they also respected University of Sindh as a premier higher education institution of the country and they would do all to win University of Sindh as their most respected client. The Vice-Chancellor thanked the officials for their participation and positive approach in the given situation.
