Red Warrant approved for Brahamdagh

Ministry of Interior on Tuesday approved issuance of red warrant for self-exiled Baloch separatist leader Brahamdagh Bugti. Official sources said the Interior Ministry approved the issuance of red warrant over Bugti's involvement in different cases, including terrorism. The Interior Ministry also approved red warrant against Sher Muhammad of Baloch Republican Army, they said.
They said that Interior Ministry directed the FIA's National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol to review the red warrants and contact secretary general Interpol on immediate basis. According to the procedure, the NCB-Interpol of the FIA will review the request approved by the minister of interior and collect required documents for issuance of red notice.
The requirement of red notice includes a red notice application form, a copy of an FIR, a statement of witnesses, a summary of the case, a warrant for arrest under section 204 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) issued by the court, proclamation order against accused under sections 87 and 204 of CrPC by the court, and a photograph and travel documents of the accused, etc. The FIA sends the required documents for issuance of red notice to Interpol headquarters.
The officials said that Interpol's legal wing will review the request of Pakistan for issuance of red notice. If the Interpol determines that the case is criminal then a red notice will be circulated to police in 192 member countries for action against the accused, he said. A court in Balochistan has already declared Bugti as proclaimed offender.
