Tickets sold like a 'hot cake'

Minor clashes were reported at a few places outside designated braches of a bank as cricket fans thronged them to grab the PSL final tickets on Wednesday. Long queues were seen across braches of the bank in the city as tickets for the much-awaited contest were sold like a 'hot cake'.
However, a group of youngsters protested at the Main Boulevard Gulberg branch of Bank of Punjab (BoP) after failing to get Rs 500 tickets. Cricket enthusiasts said they were there for many hours but they were unable to purchase the ticket owing to the rush. The bank officials called police and Rangers to avoid any untoward situation. The cricket fans thronged bank branches after e-tickets were sold out within hours.Cricket fans standing in long queues for purchasing of Rs 500 tickets said the braches had received such tickets in a very limited number, only 25 to 50, which were sold out too early. Even tickets of Rs 4,000 were also sold out within hours. Only the tickets worth Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,000 are available which an ordinary young cricket fan cannot afford.
As per details, the tickets of Imran Khan, Fazal Mahmood, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis enclosures are most expensive with the rate of Rs 12,000. Javed Miandad, Abdul Hafeez Kardar and Raja enclosures tickets are priced at Rs 8,000 while the tickets of remaining enclosures are available for Rs 4,000 whereas other fans will enjoy the match in just Rs 500 in general category. A PCB spokesman said the PSL tickets can be purchased online at Q-Tickets.com and various ticket outlets across Lahore.
