Forex reserves fall by $107 million

The country''s total liquid foreign exchange reserves declined by $107 million during last week. According to weekly foreign exchange reserves report issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Thursday, the country''s total foreign exchange reserves stood at $21.823 billion as on Feb, 24, 2017 compared to $21.930 billion on February 17, 2017. During the period under review, reserves held by the SBP dropped by $177 million to $16.851 billion down from $17.028 billion. Similarly, reserves held by banks rose by $70 million to $4.972 billion at the end of last week.
