Ukraine's February grain exports fall

Ukraine's grain exports dropped to 2.864 million tonnes in February from 2.92 million tonnes in January, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday. The data provided by the ministry shows that the volume included 1.8 million tonnes of maize and 842,000 tonnes of wheat. In January, the exports of maize totalled 1.8 million tonnes, while shipments of wheat were at 983,200 tonnes.
Ukraine harvested 66 million tonnes of grain in 2016, a record amount, and has said it could export around 41 million tonnes in the 2016/17 season. The country exported 22.8 million tonnes of grain in the first half of this season.
