Met forecasts showers in March

The Met Office has forecast about 4 weather system to trigger slightly above normal rains in nearly all parts of the country in March 2017. "Global climate indicators such as North Atlantic Oscillations (NAO), El Nino and Southern Oscillations (ENSO) and Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) are expected to remain neutral in March 2017," it said.
It said that weather systems between 3 and 4 are likely to pass across the country to result in a slightly above normal rainfall over Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Northern Punjab while a normal rainfall elsewhere in the country. It forecast snowfall for high mountainous regions during the current month.
"Thunder/hailstorms accompanied with gusty winds are also likely to occur at isolated places in the country," the Met said. Air temperature is expected to remain slightly above normal in March 2017. "Initial estimates indicate that precipitation is likely to remain normal in the month of April," it added.
