All the security-related arrangements have been finalised to hold the final of PSL-II in a peaceful manner on Sunday (today). Around 10,000 security officials are deputed for this mega event. On Saturday, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan met Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore and expressed their satisfaction over the security arrangements made so far for the final match of PSL on Sunday.
Shehbaz and Nisar rejected the so-called statement of opposition leaders with regard to deployment of security officials for the final and said that statement of the opposition leader is beyond facts about deployment of 60,000 security officials for the final match. These elements are doing politics over security arrangements of this mega event, they said.
"Security arrangements are being politicized and an attempt is being made to create a feeling of discomfort." Shehbaz thanked Nisar for providing full support for security arrangements for the final match on behalf of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and federal government. He said they are thankful to the PM and the federal government for providing helicopters on the request of Punjab government for air surveillance.
Nisar also apprised the CM about high-level meeting held in Islamabad on Friday. Both the leaders expressed their satisfaction over the joint operations of Punjab police and Rangers. Shehbaz said holding of PSL final in Lahore has been taken keeping in view the wishes of Pakistani people and added that all federal and provincial departments have been consulted in this regard. He said terrorists and their facilitators would be eliminated with power of the people.
