On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,109. The total traded value was recorded at PKR 6.24 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,103.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.12 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.46 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 404.65 million, silver PKR 238.46 million, copper PKR 14.11 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.60 million.
