Plaintiff allowed to file appeal

08 Mar, 2017

Declaring its previous order pertaining to Site Limited Association's elections inoperative, Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday allowed a plaintiff to file an appeal within three days.
In its application, plaintiff Arshad Tanveer has sought suspension of court's previous orders dated March 2, 2017 for a period of seven days to file an appeal against the court orders.
"Learned counsel submits that they want to exercise their right of appeal and the competent authority has announced the date of election to be held within 24 hours of its announcement hence he seeks suspension of the order for three days," the court order stated.
It is noteworthy to mention here that the SHC is hearing a case regarding the elections on the two slots of tenant directors of Site Limited Association.
The plaintiff has filed an application under section 110 of the Sindh Chief Court rules. The plaintiff has prayed suspension of SHC's March 2 order for a period of seven days failing which there is a strong likelihood that elections will be held in the interim.
Accepting the application, SHC has given three days to the plaintiff to exercise his right of appeal.
