Pietersen clarifies his position

Former British cricketer and a member of the Quetta Gladiators' team Kevin Pietersen has dismissed reports that he decided not to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore following Imran Khan's statement that it was not a sensible decision.
Najam Sethi, Head of Pakistan Cricket Board Executive Committee, claimed in a private television programme that it was communicated to him that Pietersen and one other player had decided not to come to Lahore to play the final after the PTI chief's statement.
In a video message, former England batsman said his decision had absolutely nothing to do with what Imran Khan said and that it was purely a family decision.
"The decision was made before the tournament that we will not travel to Lahore", he said adding that he was told "it was not a good idea to travel so I did not travel".
