Peshawar win overall U-23 Female Games trophy

Ayesha Abbas Khan was declared as best athlete of the ongoing Under-23 Female Games while District Peshawar clinched the overall trophy by securing 111 points on the second and last day here on Wednesday. In athletic Ayesha Khan of Peshawar claimed three gold and two bronze medals was declared as best athlete. Aysha Abbas Khan won gold medal long jump, 100m and 200 and took bronze medal in 400m and 800m. Peshawar also won the overall trophy of the athletic when it scored 34 points, followed by Nowshera with 20 points and Charsadda record 19 points respectively.
In long jump Peshawar's Aysha won gold medal, Sana Ilyas grabbed silver medal and Laiba Ijaz took bronze medal. In the 200m Aysha took gold medal, Suman won silver medal and Zala of Nowshera won bronze medal, in the 400m Nayyab of Charsadda won gold, Sundas of Peshawar got silver medal and Lala Rukh of Charsadda won bronze medal. In the 800m Hawla of Nowshera won gold, Kalsoom of Nowshera took silver medal and Sumaira of Charsadda won bronze medal.
In the overall Games Charsadda with 59 points took second position behind Peshawar while Charsadda remained third with 41 points. In the hockey match played at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium Nowshera defeated Charsadda by 2-1. Khatijah and Arifa scored one goal each for Nowshera while Aliya scored one goal for Charsadda. In the final Nowshera beat Peshawar by penalty shoot out. Both teams were tied a goal-less and on the penalty shoot-out Charsadda won the trophy.
In the Judo played at Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar won the trophy while Charsadda got second position. Both Peshawar and Charsadda have three gold medals each and the winner decided on silver medals position. Peshawar overall claimed nine gold medal and three silver medal by securing 111 points, followed by District Charsadda with two gold medal and seven silver medal recorded 59 points and Nowshera with two gold medal and three silver secured 41 points.
At the end Chairman BISE Peshawar, Professor Dr Fazal Rehman, Director Pakistan Studies Professor Dr Fakhar Ul Islam, Director BISE Peshawar Manzar Khan, Director Sports (Female) Rashida Ghaznavi and Chief Referee Pakistan Squash Federation Munawar Zaman give away trophies and cash prizes to the position holders. The winner awarded Rs 20,000 cash and the runners-up got Rs 15000 cash prize.
