IEEEP symposium to begin on March 15

The 32nd Multi Topic International Symposium 2017 of the Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEEP), Karachi Centre, will be held at the Hotel Pearl Continental Karachi on Wednesday and Thursday 15th and 16th March 2017. Dr Attaur Rehman former head of Higher Education Commission Pakistan will inaugurate this two day event.
The Symposium will have 5 Technical Sessions in which presentations will be made by professional engineers on current issues. Out of 16 papers / presentations in the above Sessions, five are from Germany, UK, UAE, China and Iran on current topics related to Pakistan. All the papers presented promise to be very interesting, some papers/presentations are being given below to give you an idea of the topics.
1) Electrical Vehicles by Choice - Made in Pakistan by Professor Dr Abid Karim, Iqra University, Karachi
2) Accurate Modelling of Wind Generation for Grid Studies in Pakistan by Engr. GergoVarhegyi, Head of Siemens PTI Middle East.
3) Smart Grids - How Smart? By Engr. Masroor Hassan, MD Global Energy Technologies, UAE
4) Economics of Battery Energy Storage for large RE Projects by Engr. Paul Mankey, Sgurr Energy, UK
5) Nano fibers - Patenting the Future at Mehran UET by Dr Zeeshan Khatri, MUET, Jamshoro
The best papers from the Students Seminar based on Final Year Students Projects, held about 2 weeks ago, will also be presented in a special Students' Technical Session on the second day of the Symposium.
A very interesting Panel Discussion with senior engineers from Utilities & Private Sector, including MD NTDC and VC MUET will take place in the afternoon of Day 2, on the topic. "Can present Generation & Transmission Plans end the Load Shedding by 2018?" MD NTDC will also be the Chief Guest at the closing session.-PR
