JUI-F MPA from District Kohistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Maulana Asmatullah has announced joining PTI and tendering resignation from the provincial assembly membership. He made this announcement during a meeting of a delegation of political leaders, notables and general public from District Kohistan with Chief Minister Pervez Khattak here in CM House on Saturday.
The chief minister on this occasion announced granting district status to the sub-division comprising of Kolayee and Palas of Kohistan, saying the third district will unite all communities of the area. He also urged on the political leaders, notables and general public of district Kohistan to set aside hatred and hate to become one nation and promote love and brotherhood.
The chief minister said that he will soon visit all three districts of Kohistan and will announce a comprehensive development package for the collective uplift of Kohistan.
On this occasion, JUI-F MPA Maulana Asmatullah in recognition of the good-will of the provincial government, particularly their Islamic friendly steps; announced to vacate the provincial assembly constituency and announced full support for the candidate of PTI in the by-election.
The chief minister said that the provincial government had prepared plan for turning the indigenous natural resources in each district into industries, saying speedy industrialization is the future of the province. He said that they are going to hold a road show in soon Beijing to market the natural resources and investment opportunities of the province. He said that the previous provincial governments have started work on 57 Megawatt electricity projects while by the completion of their government they will include 4000 megawatt electricity in the system.
