Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) dismissed the disqualification references against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen on technical grounds.
While addressing at news conference, along with PML-N leaders Daniyal Aziz, Maiza Hameed and Talal Chaudhry in Islamabad on Thursday evening, she said Imran Khan hesitates to present himself for accountability before country's institutions and the nation.
The State Minister said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has presented himself for accountability before the courts and did not claim any immunity, while on the other hand, Imran Khan is avoiding legal forums for accountability. She said Khan does not like the democracy in which he is in opposition.
She claimed that Khan is pretending in front of public that Jhangir Tareen and Imran Khan got clean chit, whereby in reality they have sought immunity.
She said PTI Chief should avoid hurling baseless allegations on the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family as Nawaz Sharif has already presented himself in front of the Supreme Court submitting all records of properties owned not only by his late father but also belonging to his children too.
She said Imran khan doesn't even admit the money he has taken from Jamima in front of court. She said Maryam Nawaz rules Pakistan because of her dedication to this country, her work in the field of education and health sector is quite acknowledgeable, which should be appreciated. Speaking on the occasion, Daniyal Aziz said Imran Khan has become habitual in misleading facts and hurling baseless allegations on others.
He said Imran Khan should have appeared before the Election Commission and present details of his assets, adding that he himself is not presenting himself for accountability but asking everyone to be accounted.
Talking about Jhangir Tareen, he said he is certified corrupt person.
He said Khan is misleading public by giving statements about Qatar Prince again and again. He said Khan said in parliament that money has been brought in legally, however, money has been brought in by name of Rahisd Khan and not Imran khan. He said Khan is hiding behind the court.
He said Imran Khan has not even included property he owns in one Constitution Avenue. He said PML-N will appeal in the ECP against its decision in favor of Imran khan.
Meanwhile Talal chaudhry while character assassination he said that Imran Khan has not given answer regarding the Bani Gala house and what made him whiten the black money.
He said the way imran Khan has sought immunity in front of ECP, they will seek in Supreme Court as well.
On the same occasion, Maiza Hameed saif that Imran khan is suffering from Mariam-Phobia, as Khan finds Mariam a threat that why he focuses on her more than focusing on education and health of KP.
