The HMD Nokia is launching its three android-based smartphones and a new version of the old feature mobile in Pakistan by late quarter-II this year. The new Nokia handsets include: Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, besides a new version of Nokia 3310. "We believe they stand out" among other such devices, Per Ekman, Vice President - Middle East & North Africa, HMD Nokia told reporters on Monday at a briefing held at the Nokia main office.
He said Nokia smartphones' launch in China had been beyond their anticipation to receive a gigantic response from customers with selling out of one million handsets in a pre-registration within 23 seconds of the announcement. "Customers satisfaction is 97 percent," that was an 'extremely high rate', he said.
"We launched Nokia 6 in China at the beginning of January 2017," he said, adding HMD Nokia selected China for launch the handset since it was the world's toughest competitive market. The Nokia phones were 'pure, secure and up to date' he said, adding the company wanted to provide the 'end-consumers' with a product having quality, durability, simplicity, reliability, and user friendly. He said Nokia new handsets were also distinctive in designs.
He said Nokia new handsets received world-wide media attention that showed the customers' tilt towards the devices. To a question, Ekman said Nokia had ended its Windows-based operating system and shifted to the android platform, however, 3310 would remain as feature mobile with an improved version.
