Moot on sustainable business practices begins

Provincial minister for higher education Syed Raza Ali Gillani on Tuesday said that sustainable business practices can turn challenges into opportunities. Effective business management skills are important as these abilities involve planning and goal setting, along with motivation of workers in order to execute the plans.
He was addressing the two-day 4th international conference on issues in business management Organised by University of Central Punjab (UCP) Business School & Kedge Business School France. International scholars, researchers, faculty members and students were attending the conference to present and discuss their research papers. The conference is aimed to explore and examine different aspects of sustainable business practices in the South Asia.
Gillani said that effective management encourages teamwork and team-spirit by developing a sound organisational structure. It also brings the human and material resources together and motivates the staff for the achievement of organisational goals. The students should, therefore, understand the latest trends of market-forces to be able to exploit their individual talents.
He pointed out that economic indicators of Pakistan are better than its competitors in the region. The Punjab government is committed to transfer the fruits of development at the grassroots so that all the people could equally benefit from the development agenda of the government, concluded the minister. The session was also addressed by different speakers.
