Pakistan missions abroad celebrate Pakistan Day

Pakistan Day was celebrated with national spirit and fervour at Pakistani Missions abroad. The Embassy of Pakistan, Beijing organised a special ceremony to mark the passing of Pakistan Resolution on 23rd March, 1940. Ambassador of Pakistan Masood Khalid raised the national flag and gradually hoisted it to the mast's summit, with the national anthem tune. Similar flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at Pakistani Consulates in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
An exhibition celebrating the "Art, Culture and Heritage of Pakistan" has been organized at the prestigious Zhengyangmen Museum, Beijing in collaboration with China World Peace Foundation. The exhibition showcased the art work of Pakistan's leading artist, Jimmy Engineer.
The exhibition included one hundred paintings and sketches of Jimmy Engineer depicting Pakistan's history and its Independence, architectural heritage, Pakistani Landscape, promoting Peace and Harmony and Sketches of Chinese prominent personalities and historical figures. High Commissioners of Pakistan in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Canada, Britain, Ambassadors in Afghanistan, United States, Russia, Central Asian countries, Iran, Gulf and other middle east countries organised special functions and raised Pakistani flags.
