Amidst cancer battle, actor Irrfan Khan is all set to return to his home country India to start shooting the sequel of ‘Hindi Medium’. This also means that the actor's health is improving and there has been an upward peak in his treatment.

The hearts of all the fans and followers broke into a million pieces when they came to know that he has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. The actor has been undergoing treatment in London for past few months.

As per a Bollywoodlife, Irrfan will be flying to Mumbai in a day or two to start shooting for Hindi Medium 2. The film is reportedly slated to go on floors in the first week of December.

‘Hindi Medium’ was 2017 hit film starring Pakistani actress Saba Qamar in the lead role. The sequel will be produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films with a plot that will flash-forward to 10 years to tell us the next part of the story. Irrfan will reprise his role of the loving Raj, however there has been no confirmation about the leading lady of the film.

Earlier, there have been reports that Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan will play the role of Irrfan’s daughter Pihu. but there has been no confirmation yet.

Recently, Irrfan’s Bangladeshi film ‘Doob’ has been selected as the official entry for the 91st Academy Awards and the actor is reportedly very excited about the news.
