Skilled workforce vital for development: Governor

Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair has said that availability of trained manpower is vital for the process of development. This he stated while speaking at tool kits distribution ceremony held under the auspices of Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Programme (PMYSDP) at the Governor House.
Muhammad Zubair pointed out that the National Vocational and Training Commission (NAVTTC) has successfully completed first two phases of the PMYSDP. This programme proves to be helpful to the youngsters for getting the employment opportunities.
He said, "If we impart effective technical training to our youngsters then we can attain progress at a rapid pace."
The Governor said that 60 percent of country's population consists of youths and if they are trained well they can secure jobs in the private sector and could contribute to the development of the country.
He stated that it augurs well that through this programme under the PMYSDP skill training would be imparted to 50,000 youngsters.
The Executive Director of NAVTTC, Zulfiqar Cheema, informed on the occasion that next year 100,000 youngsters would be selected for training under the programme.
