Adviser to the Prime Minister on Aviation, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, has stressed the need for turning the national flag carrier profitable as well as for fulfilling consumers' expectations as envisioned by the premier Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing the airlines' senior management and office-bearers of PIA associations and CBA at a local hotel, the other day, he said that the restructuring process has been initiated in the airline and all employees will now have to work collectively in bringing back the past glory of the national flag carrier.
It may be pointed out that the PIA management through a notification issued on Wednesday had re-designated the airlines' directors as chiefs of their respective divisions. Accordingly, directors have been designated as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Technical Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Human Resource Officer, and Chief Corporate Development Officer, whereas the General Manager (Safety & Quality Assurance) and General Manager (Procurement), will look after the work of their respective divisions and report to the airlines' CEO.
Moreover, restructuring of the Human Resource department has also been initiated.
