Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has directed the administration of the Pakistan Railways (PR) to protect the historic buildings of the organisation and allocate special funds for their renovation and improvement. The Minister was presiding over a high level meeting here on Friday to review the steps for protection of buildings in the federal and provincial lists.
Chief Executive Officer Railways Muhammad Javed Anwar, Advisor Railways Anjum Pervez and other high officers were present on this occasion. The Minister said that the Pakistan Railways would protect the historic buildings for the coming generation. He asked for protecting Railway Headquarters building, Mayo Garden and railways stations besides others.
