JUI-F finalises preparations for centennial congregation

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F has finalized preparations for its three-day centennial congregation at Azakhel, Nowshera commencing from April 7, aimed at protection of Islamic ideology against the negative propaganda of Zionist forces. Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Friday JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emir Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan said that the three-day 'Ijtima-e-Aam' would create awareness among the masses about the ongoing war on terror and help restore peace in the region.
Flanked by provincial Secretary Information Maulana Abdul Jalil Jan, the provincial chief said that his party did not consider it a war rather a conspiracy against religions seminaries, Islamic groups. The war, he said was launched following the incident of 9/11.
He said that the attack on twin-towers was extremely horrible but none of the US government officials, ministers were punished for the negligence and on the other hand the incident was used against Muslims and religious seminaries across the world.
The basic purpose of the war on terror, he said was a US plan to capture natural resources in the Muslim states, shed blood of the innocent Muslims and spread a terror to inform the world about might of US military forces.
The three-day congregation, he said would help create awareness among the people to stop taking up arms for the enforcement of Islamic system as the best way to serve the purpose was through democratic means. Sharing details about the three-day congregation, he said scores of delegations led by Islamic scholars from different countries would participate in the mega religious event. He said that many delegates including Imam-e-Kaba had confirmed to arrive as per schedule.
Besides, he said leaders of political parties, including President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been invited to participate. When asked about the invitation to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan, he avoided to comment. Regarding the preparations, Maulana Gul Naseeb said that a great number of people would participate in the Ijtima wherein the parking facility on an area of 500 acres has been set-up to accommodate over a hundred thousand vehicles.
A 10 feet high stage with a width of 100 feet and a length of 200 feet had been erected to accommodate heads of all delegations and local scholars. Besides, he said all arrangements for security, food, and lavatory had been finalized.
