Search operation: LEAs detain 16 suspects, recover weapons

Islamabad Tarnol police on Friday conducted search operation in its respective jurisdiction and nabbed 16 suspects besides recovery of weapons from them, a police spokesman said. Following National Action Plan (NAP), officers/officials of Islamabad Police, Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas of Tarnol police station including sector D-17, and others.
Under supervision of SP (Saddar), SDPO Saddar Circle and SHO Inspector Sajjad Bukhari joined this search operation while police commandos, lady commandos and staff of Bomb Disposal squad also participated in it. They checked houses, persons and nabbed 16 suspects and recovered weapons from them. Further investigation is underway.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance was to ensure foolproof security in the city and he directed all SHOs to continue it. He also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and in case of any suspicious activity around them, immediately inform the police.-PR
