Tech education can pull people out of poverty: Jhagra

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Eng Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the technical Education bears the capacity to pull people out of poverty and change the fate of the nation. Addressing as the chief guest at the tool kits distribution ceremony amongst the newly trained youth under the arrangements of NAVTEC at Governor House here on Friday, the Governor said, 'the Prime Minister's Skill Development Programme' is indeed offering best opportunities to the youth in getting them employed.
Provincial Chief Secretary, Mr. Abid Saeed, Chief Executive NAVTEC, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema and the President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Haji Muhammad Afzal were also present on this occasion besides the graduating students.
While eulogizing the services of NAVTEC, the Governor said, it indeed plays useful and productive role which deserve to be appreciated. In fact, he added, the importance and usefulness of vocational training and skill development is a well acknowledged phenomena world over which had proved to be of great help for a many a nations in making remarkable progress and prosperity. Success stories of this sector, he remarked, have led to revolutionize the socio-economic life of the nations both in their individual and collective capacities.
We too, he said, have pinned great hopes from our institutions of education and training and the government has been paying special attention in this respect. He also advised the graduating youth to make best use of their skills and try to further improve the quality of their work.
Welcoming the presence of the leading entrepreneurs on this occasion, the Governor also advised them to play their due role in development of vocational and skill development institutions. Through this way, he added, their business will also get impetus and would flourish further. Earlier, the Governor gave away tool kits and certificates to the graduating students.
