A teenage girl and a toddler died after being hit by a vehicle while walking along the road in New Karachi area of the metropolis on Sunday. According to rescue sources, an unknown 14-year-old girl was walking with a toddler along the road when they were struck by a fast-moving vehicle. Both were crushed under the front wheels of the speeding vehicle and died on the spot.
The accident sparked anger among the passers-by who tried to set the vehicle on fire, but the police controlled the situation and shifted the bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Driver of the vehicle escaped.
