NA body urges AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan governments to offer incentives to private sector

The National Assembly Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan has recommended the governments of AJK and GB to offer some incentives to private sector for building basic infrastructure and provide different facilities for improvement in tourism sector.
The meeting was held here in the chairmanship of MNA Malik Ibrar Ahmed. The committee advised the ministry to sincerely consider the recommendations made by the relevant secretaries in order to implement and improve the present state of affairs and observed that impediments to developmental process should be resolved expeditiously. Moreover, the ministry may keep the standing committee in picture about the recommendations and different questions raised by the members during the meetings on regular basis.
The committee was briefed regarding historical background, present potential, latest policy, strategy including challenges and a way forward. The members took keen interest and suggested different ways to improve the tourism sector in these areas.
The meeting was attended by MNAs Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Malik Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, Sardar Mumtaz Khan, Mian Imtiaz Ahmad, Shamas-un-Nissa, Junaid Akbar, Syed Waseem Hussain and Molvi Agha Muhammad. Senior officers of the ministry, Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and Gilgit-Baltistan government also attended the meeting.
