The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday banned the use of social media websites through official accounts in its offices across the country. The ECP Secretariat including its provincial and on-field offices have been barred from using Facebook, Twitter and YouTube on official accounts. The ECP spokesman said that the decision has been taken in the wake of possible cyber attacks on the Commission's website.
