PJBF elects new office-bearers

Following the elections of Board Members at the Annual General Meeting of the Pakistan Japan Business Forum (PJBF) on March 6, office-bearers were elected at the Board's meeting on Monday, April 3 in Karachi. The following members were elected to the respective positions: Chairman: Sohail Ahmed, Senior Vice Chairman: Tetsuya Suematsu, Vice Chairman: Kalim Farooqui, Vice Chairman: Kimihide Ando, General Secretary: Hamza Bin Tariq, Treasurer: Muhammad Hanif, Joint Secretary: Fahim Sulaiman.
PJBF is a bilateral forum established in 2001 by the business communities of both Pakistan and Japan. The Patron in Chief is the Ambassador of Japan, Takashi Kurai, with Toshikazu Isomura, Consul General in Karachi as the Patron. PJBF is the leading bilateral business forum with activities having far-reaching influence on the bilateral business between the two friendly countries.
Trade delegations comprising SME's to Japan, Intra Forum interaction with member companies, networking sessions with dignitaries in the government, arranging of technical trainings in Japan for not only member companies but open to others, are some of the important events taking place regularly. The Board of PJBF consists of 10 Pakistani members representing Pakistan and 10 Japanese members representing Japan. The Board meets every month to review progress on matters related to trade and investments between the two countries.-PR
